Randall Votes NO on DHS Funding Package

January 22, 2026

"ICE agents are rounding people up because of the color of their skin…this is fascism and we have to do everything we can to stop it,” said Randall

WASHINGTON, D.C — Today, U.S. Congresswoman Emily Randall (D, WA-06) voted NO on the FY2026 government funding package for the Department of Homeland Security. Rep. Randall released the following statement:

“I voted NO on the Department of Homeland Security funding package. As a reminder – DHS is headed by Kristi Noem – who we are trying to impeach. While the package includes some wins Democratic appropriators fought for, it doesn’t do enough to provide checks and balances and true accountability for ICE, a government police force that is running rampant in the streets of Minneapolis–St. Paul and around the country.

“ICE agents are rounding people up because of the color of their skin, pulling people out of their car windows by their hair, and shooting people in the face. This is fascism, and we have to do everything we can to stop it.

“I'm going to keep fighting to impeach Secretary Noem. I'm going to keep telling the stories of our neighbors every day who are experiencing the violence that this administration is hoisting upon them.”

Rep. Randall recorded a video statement earlier today. Rep. Randall is an original co-sponsor for Articles of Impeachment for Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.
