January 22, 2025

WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Representative Emily Randall secured key subcommittee assignments on the House Committee on Natural Resources and Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

On the Committee on Natural Resources, Rep. Randall will serve on the Subcommittee on Indian and Insular Affairs and Subcommittee on Federal Lands. On these subcommittees, she will be a voice for the 6th District on all issues pertaining to tribal communities, including the 29 federally recognized tribes in Washington State, as well as on all matters related to the National Park System, federal forests and lands, and national monuments.

On the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Congresswoman Randall will serve on the Subcommittee on Health Care and Financial Services. On this subcommittee she will have oversight jurisdiction over federal health care policy, food and drug safety, federal entitlement programs, monetary policy, banking, infrastructure, tax policy, and oversight and legislative jurisdiction over the Office of National Drug Control Policy. Additionally, she will serve on the Subcommittee on Government Operations. Here, she will have legislative and oversight jurisdiction over the U.S. Postal Service, procurement, emergency management, public information and records, and the relationship between the federal government to the states and municipalities.

“I am ready to get to work on behalf of my neighbors and constituents,” said Congresswoman Randall. “These subcommittees provide invaluable opportunities to address the challenges and priorities of the 6th District, and I’m ready to advocate tirelessly for the issues that matter most—for my constituents, not powerful billionaires. That means making sure tribal communities have the resources they need to self-govern, expanding access to affordable healthcare for rural and underserved communities, and ensuring our government is serving the needs of the people, and not a select few.”
