Congresswoman Emily Randall Statement on House Vote to Release the Epstein Files

November 18, 2025

Washington D.C.- Today, Congresswoman Emily Randall voted YES on a bill to release the Epstein files, which passed the House by a vote of 427-1. She released the following statement on the passage:

“Today’s House vote to release the Epstein files is an important step toward transparency and accountability for the survivors of horrific sexual abuse. I urge the Senate to quickly follow suit — and for the President to sign this measure into law.

But let’s be clear: Donald Trump could direct the Department of Justice right now. He could have released these files months ago. Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, led by Rep. Summer Lee and Chair Robert Garcia, forced Republicans to subpoena the files from the Department of Justice and the Epstein estate. And instead of complying with a lawful subpoena, the Trump Administration had continued to evade cooperation and withhold information the American people — and survivors — deserve to see.

All survivors of assault deserve justice, and through the Oversight Committee I can promise you that our investigative work is just getting started. We will fight to get justice for every single survivor. The idea that we should tolerate two systems of justice — one for the wealthy and well-connected and one for everyone else — belongs to President Trump and the past. Every single individual involved and implicated in these heinous crimes, no matter their party — whether they are elected officials, CEOs, or even members of royal families — will be held accountable. ”
