Congresswoman Randall Joins House and Senate Democrats at Treasury Department to Demand Answers

February 7, 2025

WASHINGTON, DC – On Tuesday, Congresswoman Emily Randall (WA-06), a member of the House Oversight Committee, joined several House and Senate Democrats in a walk-in at the U.S. Department of Treasury to demand answers regarding un-elected Elon Musk’s access to sensitive, private information.

Congresswoman Randall released the following statement in response:

“The phones in my office have been ringing off the hook with calls from concerned Washingtonians about the hostile takeover of our government by an unelected billionaire. The American people did not elect Elon Musk nor did they consent to him having access to their private information. This is an egregious abuse of power and puts the families, seniors, and children who rely on these essential government programs at risk.

“I am committed to doing everything in my power to work with my colleagues to hold this rogue administration accountable – and I hope our Republican colleagues find the courage to do the same.”

Over 27,000 federal workers call Washington’s 6th District home along with over 73,000 veterans. Since Monday, Congresswoman Randall’s office has received over 500 phone calls and letters from concerned Washingtonians worried about the government programs that families, children, seniors, and veterans rely on.
